I love my work! I get to fall in love every day with a new dog, cat, horse, bird or ... yes, even pigs! Send me your favorite photos via email of any kind of animal and I will work faithfully to capture its essence and likeness in a custom watercolor portrait. "Guidelines for How to Take Photos for a Portrait" is available if you need it.
I can paint each pet singly or grouped together in one painting. Don't worry if you don't have one photo containing all your sweet companions, I can place them together using separate photos. The cost depends upon several choices that you make. See my blog "Pricing Information for Pet Portraits".
The most important part for you to know is that I'll photograph each stage (from the first pencil sketch to various stages in-between) and email them to you so that you get to approve them all along the way. It's like looking over my shoulder while I paint. It's so much fun to include you in the process and you can rest assured that you are getting a truly custom portrait.
These portraits make incredibly thoughtful gifts. Whether you have a new addition to the family or want to memorialize a departed pet, a custom portrait is something extraordinary that will last a lifetime for a loved one. You can choose to include the recipient in the co-creative process or surprise them with a completed portrait. I can even frame it for you so that your loved one can take it from the box and hang it on the wall!
A gift for you ...
Much of my business has spread through word of mouth (or the 'coconut wireless' as we call it here in Hawaii) from happy clients like you. If I receive a commission and sale from someone you refer, for a pet portrait or anything on my website, I will send you a thank you check or give you a discount on the art piece of your choice. It's that simple and fun!
